Subject: Microfilm replacement orders for brittle books
Northwestern is beginning a program to review brittle books for replacement and reformatting. We are encountering a problem in that the major bibliographic tools for locating film (NRMM, RLIN) do not include price quotes. We have to write for the price and face a delay of anywhere from 2-8 wks. * How have other institutions handled this problem? * Is there a short cut? Possibly a better and more efficient way of placing orders? Thank you for any suggestions you can offer.
