Article 3653 of sci.chem: From: swihart [at] aclcb__purdue__edu (Dr. B) Newsgroups: sci.chem Subject: DOT Emergency Response Guidebook Date: 20 Apr 91 The little orange book (at least the 1987 edition is orange) is called the DOT Emergency Response Guidebook, guidebook for initial response to hazardous materials incidents. For price and ordering information call 1-800-558-5011 and ask for customer service (J.J.Keller and Associates 145 West Wisconsin Ave. Neenah, Wisconsin 54956-0368) It's fun to keep in your glove-box while traveling so you can look up what the numbers on the placards of those chemical-containing trucks mean. I called recently to see what buying a bunch as give-aways at a campus physical plant "fair" would run us, and the price for 50 was 2.40$/copy. Linda P.S. The 1990 edition is what you get nowadays. It appears they only do it every several years. -- -- swihart [at] aclcb__purdue__edu *** Conservation DistList Instance 4:56 Distributed: Sunday, April 28, 1991 Message Id: cdl-4-56-010 ***Received on Sunday, 28 April, 1991
