At the first meeting of the NOTIS Preservation Interest Group, the participants discussed ways in which they used NOTIS to record and track preservation decisions. Three methods were identified: 583 field: used by University of Florida NOTES field: used by Kansas State University to record what is being done NOTES field: used by Northwestern. Searchable codes are placed in the NOTES field to record treatment planned or performed. If you would like to obtain more information about any of the above mentioned methods, contact either co-chair. We can put you in touch with individuals at the above institutions or discuss your interest further. Minutes of the meeting are available.
