"A Prize for a Plan" In these days of shrinking budgets for the conservation and preservation of collections in Libraries and Archives, there is now a chance to win $3,000.00 worth of conservation services. Information Conservation, Inc. Conservation Division will offer a competition to win a prize of $3000.00 worth of services. Any institution within the United States can apply by writing a proposal how best they would use these conservation services. The proposal has to include any of the endeavors presently offered by the Conservation Division. These include paper treatment, boxing, encapsulation, repairing or rebinding. The proposals will be judged by a panel of three preservationists. The winning author will receive a $200.00 cash award for his/her effort, and the institution will receive conservation services that total $3000.00.
