Subject: New Ilford film
The New York Times reported that Ilford has created a black & white film which is "basically a chromogenic film made up of dye instead of silver. Images are formed of dye clouds rather than grains of silver, just as they are when using color negative films." This means they can be processed in a quickie photo lab, along with everyone's color snaps, and presumably (?) that they'll self-destruct the same way. Any photo folks out there have any words of wisdom on this stuff? Miranda K.
