Subject: Wax paper
In answer to the question regarding the use of waxed paper: When I worked as a "Book Repairer" for the Purdue University Library I was instructed to run a bead of glue down the gutter of a book at every location where the book was loosened from it's backing material. We inserted a strip of waxed paper at all of these locations in order to keep the pages from sticking together as the glue dried. The strips were removed the following day. -Barb Tetenbaum *** Conservation DistList Instance 5:29 Distributed: Tuesday, November 26, 1991 Message Id: cdl-5-29-004 ***Received on Tuesday, 19 November, 1991
