I was not able to put together the December issue of the Abbey
Newsletter fast enough to get the following story to subscribers before
ALA Midwinter, so here it is.  I hope it is useful to the people who are
going.

Preservation-Related Meetings at ALA Midwinter

    As recently as two years ago, you had to know somebody who knew
somebody to get a copy of the schedule of preservation- related events
at the ALA meetings, and even then it was not available until shortly
before the meeting.  Now, thanks to the modern miracle of electronic
mail, the schedule is made widely available, in preliminary form, three
months ahead of time.  The schedule below was lifted from what appeared
on Email at different times, and is presented here without any guarantee
of its correctness or completeness.  Only meetings of more general
interest to preservation people are listed.  "DG means "discussion
group."
