Relief maps

Here is the only reply I've received to my Relief Map query.

    Stan Stevens, the map librarian at UCSC came up with an issue of
    A.M.S. Bulletins (No.8, June 1944) entitled "The Construction of
    Topographical Models and Relief Maps".... The issue is twenty-four
    pages and goes into some detail....
