  Subject: AASLH leaflet re: time capsules

  Some time ago there was on this list a discussion of time capsules.  I
  don't want to reopen it, just want to mention that History News 47:6
  (Nov./Dec. 1992) contained an AASLH technical leaflet, The Time
  Capsule: Repository of the Past or Romantic Notion? by Helen Fraser.
  Although the author tells you "how to do it" if you must, her
  conclusion is that "communities and institutions should be more
  concerned with presenting a broader picture ... through more
  meaningful project involving artifacts."
