Art Sorb

Has anyone used Art-Sorb silica gel in exhibit cases? It is supposed to
be conditioned to 50% humidity and a full package (approx. 1 lb. 11 oz.)
should regulate 1 cubic meter. Our cases are approx. 2/3 cubic meter,
but one package (or even 2) has had no appreciable effect. The humidity
has stayed the same as in a neighboring case which has no silica gel
(approx. 35% in winter and 55% in summer). The cases are not absolutely
airtight, but air exchange is very slow.
