Polyester or other inert/chemically stable plastics that filter UV radiation should not be used to store records for any extended length of time. UV filtering plastics are useful for exhibit and treatment action, but not for storage. UV filtering should be regarded as an "additive"--and an impermanent one. UV filtered plastics are generally only effective for a limited period of time (7-10) years. UV filtering on a plastic enclosure for storage purposes should certainly not be regarded as a bonus.
