Subject: British Library grants
The following was found at a British gopher site and is reproduced here without the knowledge or consent of the author British Library Grants for Cataloguing and Preservation The British Library is restoring its grants to libraries for the scheme of cataloguing and listing projects which ceased in 1988/89. It is also continuing the scheme of grants for preservation projects, funded from 1986 to 1992 by the Wolfson Foundation. Despite continuing financial constraints, the British Library Board has made available 125,000 Pounds annually, beginning with the financial year 1993/94, to ensure this valuable support to the library and archive community. The British Library will continue to seek funds elsewhere in order to increase the amount available in the future. Applications for the first round of grants for both cataloguing and preservation projects should be made by 16 April 1993.
