Photo print paper

Can anyone recommend any literature on the longevity of modern
black-and-white print paper that has developer incorporated into it?
It is apparently used in machine printing to speed up the process, but
rumour has it that it will yellow with age. What exactly happens I
don't know, so if anyone can suggest any published remarks by the
manufacturers (at least Kodak and Ilford produce it) or by conservators
who have tested it, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to know the process by
which it yellows, what effect the "yellowing" has, under what conditions
it does so, and how long it takes. I'd also like to be able to
recognize such prints in case there are precautions I must take: there
seems to be no obvious indication on the paper.
