Subject: Myra Jo Moon
Some of you may not yet have heard of the untimely death of Myra Jo Moon, Preservation Librarian at Colorado State University, on March 15 after a brief illness. Myra Jo had been with CSU since 1965. She founded the CSU Libraries' preservation program, and was in addition an indefatigable consultant and workshop presenter throughout the state of Colorado. Myra Jo was a founding member of the Colorado Center for the Book, the Colorado Library Association Preservation Roundtable, and the Colorado Preservation Alliance. At the time of her death, she was working with the Colorado Preservation Alliance as project director for an LSCA grant to develop a state preservation plan.
