Subject: Styrofoam
One of the county libraries here in Kansas has placed large sheets of styrofoam in the windows for the purpose of insulation. The director is now concerned with off-gassing causing problems for the health of the collection and for her. The foam is not being burned, of course, but could the heat from the sun cause damaging and hazardous off-gassing? Thanks.
