Subject: Oil-flo
Recently one of the conservators at Oberlin tried a cleaner called "Oil-flo" made by Titan Laboratories in Sunnyvale, California to clean off the gunk left by old self stick library book tapes on cloth bindings. It works very well, much better than anything else we have used. It contains petroleum distillates and glycol ether EB. Does anyone know of any reasons NOT to use this solvent? Thanks for your help.
