Subject: Exhibition on conservation
The Mount Holyoke College Art Museum is organizing an exhibition entitled "Altered States: Conservation, Analysis, and the Interpretation of Works of Art" that examines the ways in which art historical inquiry intersects with conservation science. Funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and organized with the assistance of the Williamstown Regional Art Conservation Laboratory (WRACL), the show is on view at Mount Holyoke from 2 April through 29 May 1994. The exhibition will travel to the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts (23 July-18 September 1994) and the National Academy of Design, New York City (5 October-27 November 1994).
