Subject: Colored folder stock
Our herbarium uses colored folder stock to house specimens. The color coding indicates geographic area. Individual specimens are interleaved with acid-free/lignin-free paper and all specimens from one species are then placed in a color coded folder. There are several different types of folder stock used. Some are buffered to a neutral or alkaline pH. None of the colored stock is acid-free and lignin-free. Does anyone know of a source for colored acid-free/lignin-free folder stock? Anyone have any ideas for alternatives to colored folder stock?
