Subject: Preservation manuals
The Preservation Department at Indiana University Libraries is in the process of compiling a *Preservation Manual*. The manual will be distributed to all library units on campus, and will contain basic preservation information and specifics about policies and procedures at IUL. To aid us in our work, we'd like to review other preservation manuals. We're also considering mounting the manual on the IUL gopher, and would like to hear from anyone with experience in providing on-line access to this type of information. Please send a copy of your manual and/or any comments or suggestions about compiling such a manual to: **** Moderator's comments: If your manual is in machine readable form, why not contribute it to Conservation OnLine as well.
