Telecommunication industry experts will present perspective on the emerging information superhighway and the relationships between commercial and publicly funded organizations in the information infrastructure. Larry Learn, Director of Technical Planning, OCLC, will provide an overview of the industry, economic issues and the regulatory environment. Representing the commercial sector, Warren Gifford, Executive Director, Bellcore, will discuss trends, business strategies and research and development activities.
