Removing old polish residue

Jesse: an old dry toothbrush (you know, only slightly
post-archaeological...).  Followed by a barbecue stick dipped in mineral
spirits. maybe another pass with the toothbrush.  It's fast. Try to mask
surrounding areas in case you get too enthusiastic. Cheers
