Odor removal

I am hoping one of you can help answer this conservation problem.  A
patron has some books (number do not know how many) which were sprayed
by a skunk (I don't know how long ago) and patron wants to know how to
remove the skunk odor.  If the treatment requires
conservator-assistance, I will specify that in our reply to the patron.
Otherwise, the treatment will be done by patron, I'm assuming this.  I
may be able to do the treatment myself, if not I will refer patron to a
colleague.
