Subject: Scotch Removable Magic Tape

[etc] As a copy photographer who makes slides from illustrations in books, I see frequent use of Post-it notes for marking. I don't think Geoffrey Brown goes nearly far enough in urging caution with so-called "removable" adhesives and archival materials. When I remove a Post-it from a glossy paper, then place plate glass over the paper to hold it flat for photography, a very substantial smudge of greasy adhesive transfers to the glass from the place where the Post-it had been stuck. Also, I have encountered some Post-it-style notes which were very difficult to remove even from paper in good condition, because the adhesive was unusually strong.
