PARS Preservation Microfilming Discussion Group

The new Preservation and Reformatting Section (PARS) Preservation
Microfilming Discussion Group will be held on Monday, February 6th
from 11:30 am-12:30 pm in the Wyndham Franklin Hotel, Salon A at the
ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.  The topic of discussion
will be the creation of preservation microfilm with the intention of
eventually digitizing/scanning it for improved access, and the
concerns to keep in mind when planning for this possibility.  All are
invited to attend and participate in the discussion, especially those
parties with any previous experience scanning microfilm.  The
discussion will be moderated by Lee Dirks, Manager of Preservation
Services at Preservation Resources in Bethlehem, PA.
