Northeast Document Conservation Center, in Andover, Massachusetts, seeks candidates for the position of Director of Reprographic Services. The position manages microfilming and photographic copying services for this oldest and largest regional conservation center for books, photographs, and paper objects. The Director of Reprographic Services coordinates a series of reformatting workshops for a national audience of libraries, archives, and historical collections. Some travel is required. This senior position reports to NEDCC's Director. Collections management experience and an advanced degree in a related field are highly desirable; appropriate experience may be substituted for academic training. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; benefits are excellent. Responsibilities include: Marketing: * Maintain contact with clients and prospective clients * Assist clients in the selection of materials and the development of project guidelines and specifications * Provide cost estimates * Develop bid documents for projects to be done at NEDCC * Prepare brochures, press releases, and other promotional materials * Speak about the Center and its services at professional meetings * Monitor new developments in the field Department Management: * Monitor project management, quality control, production * Supervise work of technical photographer and coordinator of microfilm operations * Manage department personnel (5FTE) Education: * Participate in Center's educational efforts * Prepare technical handouts, articles, manuals * Coordinate a national series of reformatting workshops * Provide consultation, other field services, and editorial advice as needed Send resume and references to: Ann Russell Director Northeast Document Conservation Center 100 Brickstone Square Andover, Massachusetts 01810 NEDCC is an equal opportunity employer.
