Call For Papers: Spring 1996 Meeting of the Ohio Valley Group of
Technical Services Librarians.

Technical Services Librarians:  Leaders for Change

The Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians (OVTGSL),
serving Indian a, Kentucky, and Ohio, will hold its 1996 annual
meeting in Toledo, Ohio, on Ma y 16-17.  The OVTGSL Program Planning
Committee invites proposals for papers an d workshops related to
current issues in technical services, including acquisitions,
cataloging, database maintenance, serials, and systems.  Possible
topics could include (but are not limited to) the following:

    *   Modifying workflow to accommodate change

    *   Serving our customers

    *   Increasing productivity and efficiency

    *   Making the most of automated systems

    *   Internet/WWW implementation and usage for technical services

    *   Staff motivation and morale

    *   Out-sourcing

    *   Emerging roles for technical services librarians

    **** Moderator's comments:  One assumes that preservation was
    omitted by accident. Ahem...


OVTGSL invites all interested persons to submit proposals and
suggested topics/ speakers.  Proposals will be reviewed
competitively and should include the following:

    Name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number of the
        proposer(s)

    Presentation Title

    200-word abstract

    Format (e.g. oral presentation, hands-on workshop, panel
        discussion)

    Duration (30 minutes or 1 hour)

Proposals should be submitted no later than September 30, 1995, to
