Position at Amon Carter Museum

The Amon Carter Museum has an opening for the position of
Preparator, Installation and Preparation Services. Primary
responsibility is the ensure the proper care and handling of the
Museum's extensive photography, print and drawing collection
utilizing safe housing, matting and framing, and general storage and
exhibition preparation techniques.  Requires BFA or equivalent
combination of education and experience; three years art museum or
special collections experience handling; thorough knowledge of
accepted preservation techniques, knowledge of book preservation
preferred; matting, framing, and working as part of a team during
the installation of works of art; commitment to proper care of works
of art; job requires stooping, lifting, standing; experience
preparing exhibition spaces including spackling and painting
surfaces; Apple computer experience helpful; salary commensurate,
