Subject: Adhesive for veneer
This question comes from someone not on the list looking for something called 'Neoprene' adhesive. The adhesive is applied to a support fabric which in turn is applied to a veneer as a support during hot air gun treatment. The adhesive is not damaged by the hot air gun and can safely be removed afterwards. Apparently this procedure has been recommended for assisting in the renovating of tortoise-shell veneers on furniture. Can anyone suggest either a source for Neoprene adhesive or an alternate practise?
