Subject: Cigarettes
I've had a query from a small museum about how to number a pack of cigarettes from the 1940s. The cellophane is still intact except for one area. It would be possible to write a number on the paper at that point, otherwise there seems no way to apply a reversible number. Also, there is no evidence of infestation, but should it be considered after all of these years? Any suggestions are welcome. Pat Miller Patricia L. Miller Illinois Heritage Association 602 1/2 E.
