Neoprene adhesive is a French product, it is basically a rubber based adhesive similar to Evo-Stik. It can be removed using acetone. The removal of Boulle and wood marquetry using this method can be successful, but is very dramatic and not considered good practice in all cases. I have slides and photographs of this process and am prepared to show and discuss the merits and alternative methods of marquetry restoration with the enquirer.
