Lecturer Paper Conservation University of Canberra Faculty of Applied Science $43042 - $51113 pa Reference No. 96/2030 The National Centre for Cultural Heritage Science Studies (NCCHSS) seeks to appoint a Lecturer to develop and teach the paper conservation major at the Bachelor's and Master's degree level, and supervise research by undergraduate and postgraduate students. The major includes: teaching the history and technology of paper based materials; the causes of deterioration; library and archive preservation and the techniques of paper conservation. The NCCHSS has a laboratory specifically for teaching paper conservation. You will have a degree in cultural materials and have at least five years experience in the conservation of paper based materials (including artwork) in libraries, archives or other cultural institutions.
