Karen Pavelka is quite right about the virtues of a plastic syringe
for applying a thin line of adhesive of your choice. However, if you
are doing much gluing of this type, a better alternative is a paint
striping tool, which is available from art supply stores (e.g.

for under ten dollars. It, also, can be filled with the adhesive of
your choice, and it is much easier touse to make controlled lines of
adhesive. It has the disadvantage of needing to be cleaned more
frequently than a syringe.
