Paper Conservator contract position Canadian Centre for Architecture The Canadian Centre for Architecture, a study centre and a museum devoted to the art of architecture and its history, seeks a paper conservator to fill a temporary full time position in its Preservation and Conservation Department. This is a nine to twelve month contract, commencing in the fall of 1996. Responsibilities include the care, examination, treatment, and documentation of a varied collection of works of art and documents on paper. The incumbent must be able to execute treatments skillfully and to manage work flow efficiently. The applicant should be a graduate of a recognized training program or have obtained equivalent experience in recognized conservation facilities and should have a minimum of two years' additional experience in conservation activities involving considerable paper conservation treatment. Knowledge of both official languages is an asset. We are seeking a candidate who can legally work in Canada. The CCA is an equal opportunity employer.
