Subject: Call for papers
As a reminder, issue two of the Journal of Conservation and Museum Studies (JCMS) will be published in November 1996. The deadline for receipt of papers to be included in this issue is October 4, 1996. The first issue of JCMS can be found at URL: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/archaeology/conservation/jcms/ or at our mirror on CoOL: http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/jcms/ Students in conservation or museum studies programs (or researching relevant topics) are invited to propose papers for publication. The scope of papers written for JCMS should focus either on issues and techniques in conservation, or on museum studies and collections care. Information already covered by existing papers in JCMS will normally be declined. Papers must be written in English. Students are expected to submit their papers to their own head of department (or delegated member of staff), who will then be identified as referee for the paper. Papers should then be submitted to the Journal by this head of department. More specific information and guidelines for authors are available in the Journal's Guidelines page at URL: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/archaeology/conservation/jcms/guidelines.htm or by contacting JCMS directly.
