Certified Conservator Photographic Materials Foundation National Photographic Conservation Studio Rotterdam, The Netherlands The Foundation National Photographic Conservation Studios in Rotterdam has taken up the responsibility for the care and conservation of the Netherlands Photographic Cultural Property. Our clients are State-, Provincial- and City- Museums and Archives as well as private collectors and company archives. Our main field of activities are: * the preservation and/or conservation of prints * the duplication of historical negative archives * advise on collection management to the above institutions. We are working mainly in the field on black & white photography. If your education matches the below mentioned conditions, we invite you to respond by e-mail directly (nfra<-a t->nfra< . >v2< . >nl) Certified Conservator Photographic Materials Requested qualifications: * university MA or similar level diploma specialisation: conservator paper photography * sound theoretical and practical knowledge of the history of photography * sound theoretical and practical knowledge of sensitometry / densitometry * sound theoretical and practical knowledge of paper and book conservation * research experience and practice in the field of photography/paper Requested experience: * practical experience as a qualified photographic conservator for at least one year * practical experience in making long term programs for preservation and conservation * practical experience in active conservation of photography "wet & dry" processes * practical experience in the dark room and in developing b&w films * practical experience in the maintenance of conservation tools and materials * practical experience in expression in word and report in English, and French or German Requested profile: * affinity with historical photography and interest in historical photographic processes * affinity with bookbinding methods and related relevant book and paper conservation * being able to work independent, being able to analyse, and make hypotheses * being creative and take initiative in solving problems in a practical way * being flexible, accurate and hygienic in the workfield with a lot of patience...
