Head of Paper Conservation The British Museum The Department of Conservation has a vacancy for a Conservator Grade D, who will manage the Pictorial Art Section, comprising three studios; Western Art on Paper, Eastern Art on Paper and Silk ( Hirayama ) and Mount Cutting. The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced paper conservator of at least 10 years standing, able to carry out conservation work of the highest quality. Significant museum/collection experience is an asset and they should be able to contribute to the Departmental research programme in their own area of expertise. They should have proven management skills in a position of responsibility. The salary range is stlg16,000 - stlg31,200 per annum, according to experience.
