Subject: PARS Cooperative Preservation Programs Discussion Group
PARS Cooperative Preservation Programs Discussion Group Saturday, June 27 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Library of Congress - Jefferson Bldg, Rm LJ113 Topic: Copyright and Fair use: Implications for Cooperative Programs. In light of recent court decisions, educational programs increasingly find themselves in the gray area of copyright and fair use. Discussion will focus on identifying the role of copyright and fair use and the impact it has on our current services, workshops, and publications. Does your institution have a copyright policy? What should be addressed in a copyright policy? Potential pitfalls and solutions will be identified and questions compiled for future research and discussion. In addition, George Farr will give a brief summary of NEH activities related to cooperative programs and will be available for further discussion. *** Conservation DistList Instance 12:1 Distributed: Wednesday, June 10, 1998 Message Id: cdl-12-1-007 ***Received on Wednesday, 10 June, 1998
