Preservation Specialist Emory University Libraries Performs a variety of specialized conservation treatments on library materials. Assists in training Conservation Unit student assistants. Requires extensive knowledge of preservation issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Two years related experience. Requires some relevant experience in book repair, conservation or bookbinding facility. Prefer experience in bookbinding, leather and paper conservation techniques; strong training skills. Demonstrated superior manual dexterity skills and ability to perform delicate, exacting tasks with a high level of productivity. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Ability to coordinate work with others and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
