Subject: Color of paper and board
Are there color standards for art boards and papers, or does each manufacture establish their own? What I am looking for is whether white, off-white, etc. are relative terms or are derived from some set standard. Placing art papers under ultraviolet lights shows that manufactures are using various brighteners to get what to the human eye looks "white", but when they are photographed it become obvious they are not (usually they are blue-white).
