IMLS Post-Graduate Internship in Sculpture Conservation Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum invites applications for a one year, full-time, post-graduate internship in sculpture conservation, beginning in January, 1999 and funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services. The intern will focus on the care and treatment of modern and contemporary sculpture, but will work with the entire conservation staff on works comprised of a wide variety of media. The intern will be exposed to issues surrounding the display, transportation and storage of modern and unconventional works. Applicant must be a graduate of a recognized conservation training program or have equivalent experience. The stipend is $24,000, plus $1000 travel and research allowance.
