Symposium 2000 will emphasize the kinds of professional
collaboration required to plan and execute successful conservation
projects in historic interior spaces. This international symposium,
organized by the Canadian Conservation Institute in collaboration
with the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) and the
Heritage Conservation Program of Public Works and Government
Services Canada, will offer a chance to share information about
current examination and treatment practices, problems and solutions
in project management, and the innovative use of materials that will
benefit those who are responsible for the preservation and
rehabilitation of heritage interiors. Participation is encouraged
from professional conservators, preservation architects,
conservation scientists, craft and trades people, engineers,
technicians, and designers in heritage preservation.

Check-in will take place at the National Gallery of Canada on the
evening of May 17th or before the start of the presentations on the
morning of the 18th. Simultaneous translation to English or French
will be available. Preprints, two receptions, a banquet, and tours
of heritage architectural conservation sites will be part of your
symposium experience.

Delegates are invited to connect with other conservators and
architectural professionals through the Business Information
Exchange Centre. Located adjacent to the posters, this area will
include an array of tables where all registered delegates can place
information packages (pamphlets, business cards, etc.) describing
their business. For details, see the CCI Web site (address below).
