Projectile points

In response to Ines Silva's query about a collection of projectile
points: What was the agreement with the donor/collector about
retention of the original format? If you are free to reformat and
the current format is not in agreement with your needs and policies
(storage, etc.), would it be feasible to photodocument the current
arrangement/information then reconfigure and copy off the
information while adding the desired anthropological information as
well?

It seems to me that the information the collector recorded such as
where the item was found would be considered significant.
