Flammability of Plexiglas and Lexan

Some questions have come up in regard to the flammability of
Plexiglas.  Is Lexan any less flammable?  Has anyone been in
situations where Plexiglas was not acceptable based on fire codes? I
have had not had any complaints about proposals to use Plexiglas
over windows, but that may be because people were not aware of
flammability as an issue.  I would appreciate any relevant comments.
