Subject: Analyses for charity
I am cross-posting this message from the OSG-L to allow wider participation. Thank you for the many replies I've received to my call for analytical projects to benefit charity. We will have time for a few more small-scale projects, so if you've been on the fence about this, it's time to get off. The study is providing an opportunity for a junior at Williams to learn about spectroscopic analysis of historic and artistic works, by assisting me in the lab with SEM-EDS and FTIR microscopy. All work is done by me or under my direct visual supervision at Williams College and my new lab at Orion Analytical, LLC. <URL:http://www.orionanalytical.com/> In lieu of compensation for analyses and my teaching/supervisory time (4 hours/week), we ask that donations be made to a local charity, the Berkshire Food Project (our goal is $2000 by semester end).
