Subject: UV protective eyewear
Victoria Bunting <bunting [at] nedcc__org> writes >We are looking for goggles or glasses to wear when examining objects >under UV light (254/366 nm). Can anyone recommend a brand of >glasses/goggles and a source for buying them? Thank you. A fair number of lab eye wear provides this protection. For example, the Uvex Astrospec 3000 S Protective "absorbs 99.9% of harmful UV radiation up to 385nm" and the Uvex Astrospec 3000 Patriot, tinted version, "absorbs 99.9% ... up to 400nm." In terms of goggles, the Encon 500/600 Series No. 2843 "absorbs nearly 100% of UV rays up to 400 nm." Check out the Lab Safety catalog 800-356-0783 or <URL:http://www.labsafety.com/>.
