Senior Conservator The Swedish National Archives The Swedish National Archives has recently established a new Department of Preservation, in order to concentrate the available resources and competence in paper and seal conservation, bookbinding, micrography, writing materials and building matters. One of the main duties of the new department is to develop a national preservation plan. The Senior Conservator must have a degree from a recognized conservation program and a wide experience of other areas within the department's field of activities. Computer literacy, preferably with some experience of database administration will also help. Ability to write good reports is essential. The position has been vacant for several years and the Director is recently appointed (1st July), so you will get a fresh start! Closing date for applications: 31th of October, 2000.
