Preservation Technology and Training Grants (2001) The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training announces its 2001 Preservation Technology and Training Grants in historic preservation. The Center is a National Park Service office that advances the practice of historic preservation in the fields of archeology, architecture, landscape architecture, materials conservation, ethnography and ethnohistory. All proposals will be considered that seek to develop and distribute preservation skills and technologies for the identification, evaluation, conservation, and interpretation of cultural resources. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis, pending the availability of funds. Proposal deadline: February 1, 2001. The complete 2001 PTTGrants announcement--including the request for proposals and instructions on how to prepare and submit applications--will be available November 1, 2000 via NCPTT's World Wide Web page at <URL:http://www.ncptt.nps.gov> and via return e-mail.
