0.8 fte Lecturer in Textile Conservation Ref: A/378 The Textile Conservation Centre Winchester School of Art University of Southampton We seek to appoint a Lecturer to contribute to the teaching of MA and PhD students as part of our Studies and Research team. The Centre moved from Hampton Court Palace to its new, purpose-designed building on the Winchester Campus of the University of Southampton in August 1999. Facilities in our award-winning building include four Conservation Laboratories, two wash rooms, dye laboratory, photo studio and the Garfield Weston Analytical Laboratory. The two-year MA in Textile Conservation is already well established and successful and attracts high quality students. The Centre also has a small but growing number of PhD students. The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in textile conservation with significant post qualification experience and evidence of teaching experience and ability. This is a research-led university and you will need evidence of active research interests resulting in conference presentations and publications. This post offers unique opportunities to develop teaching and research in an exciting environment offering many opportunities to work with a variety of colleagues in the Centre, the Faculty of Arts and the wider University.
