The Booklovers' Repair Kit, written by Estelle Ellis, Wilton Wiggins, Douglas Lee, published by Knopf, has been examined and reviewed by Guild of Book Workers' members working in conservation. The review will appear in the February issue of the GBW Newsletter. Although it has some nice qualities, such as design and intentions, this is a kit and manual which present serious conservation flaws and instructions that require considerably more skill than is indicated. Anyone contemplating buying a kit may wish to read the review first.
