Andrew Mellon Fellowship in Painting Conservation The Menil Collection, Houston The Menil Collection is pleased to offer a one-year advanced fellowship in painting conservation, supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The fellowship will provide an opportunity for the conservator to participate in the activities associated with caring for the painting collection. As an integral member of the department, the candidate must have an interest in the special issues and problems that can arise in the treatment, study, and safekeeping of twentieth century art. The fellowship will commence in the Fall, 2001 and may be renewed for an additional year. The stipend is $27,000 with benefits plus an allowance of $3,000 for travel and research. Candidates should be graduates of a recognized training program or have equivalent experience.
